If you want to be certain to land yourself onto a good job or minimum a normal job, it is necessary to have at least a qualification of a high school diploma. Unless, of course, you have your GED or General Equivalency Diploma which is viewed the same as a high school diploma. The acronym GED can also stand for General Educational Development as reference to the website of the American Council on Education. If you pass the practice test with flying colors you will probably have no problem passing the real GED test. If you find you are having difficulty with certain subjects there are online GED course providers, many of which are free. You can also find preparatory courses at your local Adult Education Center. Any high school or your local school board office should be able to refer you to the center closest to you.

Besides being bombarded with GED online information, practice tests and study guides there are of course published resource books that can support you too. These massive volumes contain a wealth of information about the test and the subjects covered on the test, just make sure you choose a current volume.
